Making Random Conversations and Images with ChatGPT and DALLE2
There have been some interesting insights from using ChatGPT and DALLE2. It's early days; we're 24 hours into playing with both systems. (If you've been following the other posts, we've been using DALLE2 since it was still invite-only beta testers.) ChatGPT is the newest addition to our research room.
Here is what we've started to notice so far:
Some prompts work on ChatGPT and not on DALLE2 (and vice versa.)
ChatGPT is not connected to the internet but classified some of the commercial ventures we run correctly. The names don't indicate what the venture does in most cases, yet the system identifies the industry, technology, etc. Rather cool. So was it connected to the internet at one point? Or was it fed a batch of internet data to start the system off?
ChatGPT states: "I'm sorry, but I am unable to provide a conversation between Biggie and Tupac as I am a large language model trained by OpenAI and do not have access to the internet or information about specific individuals. I am only able to provide general information and answer questions based on the text that I have been trained on. Is there something else I can help you with?"
However, what is very interesting, the system was able to generate conversations between numerous historical and semi-historical figures.
The system didn't reject other queries like Donald Trump (although DALLE did) and John Kerry.
Many of the conversations that are generated are rather boilerplate when you submit a query such as "A conversation between {node1} and {node2}."
The system will fill in the other parts of the conversation with snippets of relevant information to generate believability from the reader.
Overall, the system and little tests have been very entertaining. You can check out all the Random GPT3 Conversations we've done so far. We'll be adding more in the coming weeks. Feel free to suggest a conversation and image pairing for us to produce in 15 seconds. The one between Biggie and Tupac was a suggestion; unfortunately, ChatGPT couldn't generate that conversation. But we did get some interesting photos from DALLE2.
