Artificial Intelligence & Course Resources
Professor Christopher Sanchez
Why AI Ethics?
Artificial Intelligence is the most powerful technology the human race has created. It distributes (or withholds) resources, opportunities, and more for citizens around the world and at scale.
The leaders of the future will be AI-Natives who think deeply and broadly about the impacts of AI on users, workers, society, and the future of their businesses.
How to use this page.
On this page, you’ll find some books, articles, videos, etc., that I believe are useful for your career in the real world. While some items may not directly say AI in them, I assure you that everything fits together over the long term when building your career in AI.
I will grade you on how you think and what unique insights you bring to your coursework and class discussions. Participation is mandatory, and I have written a simple program that randomly selects students for participation in real-time during class.
You will also have access to Professor McEthical, our class AI Copilot built on OpenAI ChatGPT (3.5 + 4) and Anthropics Claude 3 (Opus 32k) with specialized RAGs and FineTuners built to assist you during class. You can use this system for all your assignments, projects, questions outside of class, etc. The link to Professor McEthical is towards the bottom of the page.
I highly suggest that you read history to better understand the future possibilities and probabilities of AI. The field and its implications are so broad, deep, and impactful that understanding them will be a lifelong journey.

How do I succeed in this class?
You are the current and future leaders; that is how I will treat you. I expect you to show up ready and prepared as I would for team members in my company or portfolio companies.
This class is about helping you to think about the complex issues around artificial intelligence, large language models (LLMs), generative AI, alignment, automation, augmentation, cybersecurity, societal impacts, etc. It is essential that you craft your own frameworks to address these issues in your companies, investments, and future endeavors.
There is no right or wrong answer—only differing perspectives. However, to form an informed perspective, it is essential (and required) that you participate in the class and read all the required books.

Yes. But you should share your prompts, the system you used, etc. I’m not going to track you down like Liam Neeson in Taken to find out if you’re using the systems or not. It’s an honor system, and I’ll leave it to you to decide how to conduct yourself.
That being said, this class is about helping you to think about these critical issues around AI. If you rely too heavily on any LLM system to assist you, you will not gain the competitive advantage in the marketplace you desire from attending EGADE.
These ChatGPT/AI Guidelines only apply to the portion of the class taught by Professor Sanchez.

Generally no. But if you really feel that you need to ask for it, you will need to write a well-reasoned position paper covering why you believe your grade should be adjusted with supplementary information to support your view.
It needs to be compelling since, after re-reviewing your work, I reserve the right to increase, maintain, or further reduce your points upon closer inspection.

You can request extra credit from your Titled Profesor of the course. I do not offer extra credit.
